The Acts of Random Kindness concept is simple!
First, order your Acts of Random Kindness (ARK Cards) through our Marketing Tools Page. Then after you do an Act of Random Kindness, give the person an ARK card. On the back of the ARK it inspires them to Pay-It-Forward and has a link to view your sponsors or the person you're honoring or keeping memory alive and a link to join by selecting a random member.
Examples of Act of Random Kindness are:
Leave the waiter or waitress a nice tip along with your ARK card.
Pay for someone's popcorn or movie ticket at the theater.
Pay for someone's meal at a restaurant or buy someone coffee/tea.
Buy a slice a pizza for the first 25 that walk in or by your favorite pizza place.
Lives can be changed and smiles can be see by your giving. This is also a great way to inspire people to board the ARK since people feel obligated to return the favor done for them or Pay-It-Forward.
so prohibitions when it comes to doing acts of random kindness
In order to keep the reputation of the company in great standings, we have to enforce some prohibitions. This is for the company as a whole and benefits Lifesavers now and all those who join later. Failure to comply to our policy can lead up to suspension or termination.
What is Prohibited with the ARK movement:
- Do not promote the opportunity to join the ARK on Social Media unless its through your ARK Giveaway or using company infographics. We have reserved our Social Media posts for promoting our experiences with the small businesses and non-profits we support on the ARK.
- Do not perform Acts of Random Kindness in your businesses' name in a non-tangible way. What do we mean? An Act of Random Kindness is when you spend money on another person by purchasing something for them. Volunteering, changing someone's tire on the road are examples of kind deeds BUT shouldn't be done in your businesses' name or in the name of a Lifesaver. If you choose to do non-tangible acts, you cannot mention the United Lifesavers or any business advertising with us but it will be done just because you want.
- Do not perform Acts of Random Kindness in your businesses' name that requires the person receiving to be 18 years or older (such as buying alcohol, cigarettes, vapors, pornography, a gun, etc.) Exceptions to the rule is when you want to pay for someones restaurant bill that may include drinks and a meal. In this case, discuss with your favorite business owner who you'll be doing acts of random kindness name in if that would be acceptable and any other non acceptable acts they prefer you do not sponsor in their name. Co-signing for someone as an act of random kindness in your favorite businesses' name is also prohibited.
- Do not perform Acts of Random Kindness in your businesses' name that poses a safety danger (such as skydiving, bungee jumping, or any other high performance activity where the person can either lose their life or get seriously injured.
Together, we're uniting our communities and helping small businesses and nonprofits achieve greater success for less!!
